Swim School for Teenagers
Learn to swim is important for kids of all ages
Everyone should get the perfect summer holiday: trips to the beach, hanging with friends, billabongs, and bike rides. But for many parents – letting your teenager go to the beach or the pool can be a scary thought if they haven’t learnt to swim as a child.
At Adelaide Aquatic Centre, our classes for teens will have them in a group of their peers as they learn the skills they need to survive.
It is important to say: You have not let your child down.
Many parents feel frustrated that they didn’t get their kids in earlier. Or are worried that their own fears are now transferred to their kids. That’s ok. You are making the right step.
Since the founding of Adelaide Aquatic Centre nearly a half century ago, we have recognised the importance of learning to swim for kids of all ages, but understand not everyone has the opportunity.
In our classes for teens, your child will discover:
• The secret to feeling confident in the water
• How to stay afloat and propel through the water
• How to feel safe underwater
• The three key strokes (Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke) they need to know
• The moves behind the Butterfly, and the tricks to making it easy
Classes are designed for young people with limited or no exposure to swimming and the water, and teachers are patient in breaking everything down step by step.
Rest assured – your child will learn to swim with us.
Our Swim Australia certified teachers will give them all the skills needed to feel safe when they enter the water. The key thing is to start now.
